My name is Christina Nilsson. I was born in 1955 and grew up in Stockholm. Since 1980 I live in Degerfors. I work as a physiotherapist.

Already as a teenager I started to paint. I chose to paint with water colour. My education has mainly been autodidactic,"trial and error" during soon 35 years. Last year though, I have attended my first "real" education at a painting school in Karlstad. In the future there will probably be both paintings made with water colour and paintings made with egg yolk tempera in my exhibitions as a result of my education.

I get the inspiration for my artistic work from reflections about everyday-life, about being a human being, a woman and a mother. The beautiful colours and shapes of nature are also periodically an important source of inspiration for me. Patterns and contrasts fascinates me and during the years my pictures have become more and more focused in that.

In the area around Degerfors I have shown my pictures in different situations the last years. In 2001 at Berget in Degerfors, in 2002 at the hospital of Karlskoga and in 2003 two in Vadstena.
